In the heart of a jungle, a sanctuary called Cherishlife Home provides refuge to over 200 rescued dogs and cats, thanks to the tireless dedication of Auntie Winnie, a retired nurse. After pouring her entire life savings into building this safe haven, Auntie Winnie continues to care for these animals as if they were her own children. Living off the grid, the shelter operates with solar power and groundwater, relying on minimal external resources.
However, Cherishlife Home is now facing overwhelming challenges. With monthly costs reaching MYR17,000 to cover food and the salaries of three workers, the sanctuary struggles to stay afloat. This doesn’t even include the costs of special diets, medical treatments, or emergencies. The situation becomes even more dire during the wet season, when natural threats like floods and landslides put both the shelter and its animals at risk.
Despite these hardships, Auntie Winnie’s love for the animals keeps her going. But she needs help. Your kindness can make a world of difference to keep Cherishlife Home running and ensure these rescued animals remain safe and cared for.
This is an urgent plea from Auntie Winnie—will you lend a helping hand to keep Cherishlife Home alive? Visit here to donate. Every contribution counts.
