In a heartfelt initiative for Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, Sofitel Singapore City Centre is partnering with local tattoo specialists to offer complimentary 3D areola and nipple tattoos to breast cancer survivors. The event, taking place on October 19 and 20, 2024, will transform the Joaquim Suite into a safe and supportive space for survivors to receive this restorative treatment.
On October 19, tattoo artist Jen Tan, who has specialized in 3D areola tattoos since 2016, will lend her expertise. The following day, Michele Khoo from COVERS Paramedical, an experienced paramedical tattoo specialist, will continue the sessions. Both artists are dedicated to helping survivors regain confidence and a sense of completeness after mastectomies.
The event will provide refreshments for beneficiaries and their companions, fostering a warm and reassuring environment. Interested survivors are encouraged to register online here, as spots are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants must have completed surgery and chemotherapy at least six months prior, with a doctor’s approval.
Sofitel Singapore City Centre will also donate $100 to the Breast Cancer Foundation for each person tattooed. The public is invited to support this cause by donating directly here or scanning the event’s QR code. Every contribution aids in funding crucial programs for survivors and those at risk, from education to psychosocial support.
Donations of $50 or more will receive 2.5 times the value in tax deductions, helping make a significant impact on the fight against breast cancer.
