Nothing Phone (2a) Plus: A Significant Upgrade of Nothing’s Mid-range Smartphone Phone (2a)

Nothing has officially unveiled the Phone (2a) Plus, the highly anticipated successor to their successful mid-range smartphone, the Phone (2a). Designed for power users, the Phone (2a) Plus delivers a next-level experience with significant enhancements in performance, camera capabilities, and design.

Performance

At the heart of the Phone (2a) Plus lies the exclusive MediaTek 7350 Pro 5G processor, offering a smoother, faster user experience. With an 8-core configuration running up to 3.0 GHz and a powerful ARM Mali-G610 MC4 GPU, the phone is optimized for multitasking and gaming. Whether you’re switching between apps or diving into graphics-intensive games, the Phone (2a) Plus handles it with ease. Additional features like Smart Clean Technology and RAM Booster further enhance the performance, making this device a true powerhouse.

Camera

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the triple 50 MP camera system, a major upgrade from its predecessor. The new setup includes a 50 MP main sensor with an f/1.88 lens, an ultra-wide 50 MP sensor, and a 50 MP front camera perfect for selfies and video calls. All three sensors support 4K video recording and HDR photo capture, ensuring vibrant, detailed shots in any lighting condition. Software enhancements like AI Vivid Mode and Ultra XDR take image quality to new heights, making every photo look professional.

Design

The Phone (2a) Plus introduces a fresh look with two new metallic color options—Grey and Black. Inspired by industrial machinery, these finishes reflect the phone’s advanced specs while staying true to Nothing’s minimalist design ethos. The phone’s exterior seamlessly integrates its components, creating an anthropomorphic appearance that symbolizes intelligence and communication.

Display

Featuring a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, the Phone (2a) Plus delivers vibrant colors and exceptional clarity. With a peak brightness of 1300 nits and a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate, the screen is both bright and responsive, making it perfect for streaming, gaming, and browsing. The ultra-thin bezels and 91.65% screen-to-body ratio further enhance the viewing experience.

Glyph Interface

On the back, the Phone (2a) Plus retains the iconic Glyph Interface, which offers a unique way to interact with the device using light and sound patterns. This feature encourages users to rely less on their screens while still staying informed.

Battery and Charging

The Phone (2a) Plus comes with a 5,000 mAh battery, providing up to two days of use on a full charge. When you need to recharge, the 50W Fast Charging feature gets you back up and running in under 20 minutes, delivering a full day’s power in record time.

Sustainability

True to Nothing’s commitment to sustainability, the Phone (2a) Plus has a carbon footprint of 53.34 kg CO²e and incorporates recycled materials, including 100% recycled aluminum in the mid-frame and sustainably sourced plastics.

Availability and Pricing

The Phone (2a) Plus will be available in Singapore starting September 5. Priced at SGD $569, it can be purchased online via Shopee and Lazada, or in-store at Challenger.
