This summer, Ace Hotel is excited to introduce a new cohort of artists and curatorial partners for its 2024/2025 Artist in Residence (AIR) program, hosted across its international properties. Since its inception, the Ace AIR program has welcomed nearly 400 artists, providing them with the space and opportunity to create and exhibit new works. Over the past year, the program has showcased a diverse array of artistic expressions—from dance and movement performances in Palm Springs to ceramic and wax sculptures in Brooklyn, fashion shows in New Orleans, and original textiles in Toronto.
The 2024/2025 AIR program will continue to champion artistic innovation across various mediums. Residencies will commence in August and run quarterly, with each selected artist spending a month at an Ace Hotel, culminating in an exhibition of their new works. Ace Hotel’s curatorial partners for this year include Byline in Brooklyn; commune Gallery in Kyoto; Powerhouse Arts in New York; The Substation in Sydney; and FWB in partnership with Superchief Gallery in Palm Springs. These partners will collaborate with Ace to select and curate the participating artists and exhibitions at each location.
In an exciting addition, two of the curatorial partners, Byline (Ace Hotel Brooklyn) and FWB (Ace Hotel Palm Springs), will be running an open call for one residency slot each during their curatorial year. Details on how to apply will be shared via their respective platforms
