Our Tampines Hub Celebrates 59th National Day with Community Events, NDP Live Broadcast, Concert, and Fireworks

Our Tampines Hub (OTH) is set to celebrate the 59th National Day from August 8 to 11, 2024, in conjunction with its 7th Anniversary. Themed “UNITED TAMPINES,” the four-day celebration promises an array of fun-filled activities, entertainment, and freebies for the public, including stage performances, sports try-outs, arts and crafts workshops, culinary workshops, fitness workouts, and free movie screenings.

Kick off the celebrations with OTH’s 7th Anniversary festivities at Festive Plaza. Enjoy live music performances and cultural dances by local artists, with a special performance by children from The Little Skool-House International at 4 PM. Families can also join the action-packed Family Nerf Party at Community Auditorium 2, running from 12 PM to 9 PM.

Celebrate National Day with a series of community events. The day begins with the National Day Observance Ceremony at Festive Plaza, where Tampines Advisers and community partners will recite the National Pledge and sing the National Anthem. At 11:30 AM, enjoy a spectacular National Day Harp Concert at the Festive Arts Theatre, featuring local and international guest harpists.

At 4 PM, join celebrity hosts Fauzie Laily and Eswari Gunasagar for the ‘United Tampines’ Concert at Town Square. The concert will feature performances by the T’ang Quartet with Nick Zavior, Stringanza with Joi Chua, Orkestra Trio with Addy Cradle and Iskandar, and the Singapore Indian Orchestra and Choir. The evening will culminate in a live broadcast of the National Day Parade 2024, starting at 5 PM, followed by a dazzling fireworks display.

Explore Singapore’s multi-racial heritage through Culinary Workshops at Function Room 2, with sessions at 10 AM and 2 PM. Learn to cook diverse Malay, Peranakan, Chinese, and Indian dishes with expert chefs. In the evening, catch the live broadcast of the Heartland Celebration @ Punggol at Festive Plaza, with 10,000 Shopee Bags given away to the public from 4 PM to 10 PM.

Wrap up the festivities with the OTH 2.3km Challenge at the Jogging Track on Level 5, running from 9 AM to 5 PM. Don’t miss the live broadcast of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra’s annual National Day Concert at Festive Plaza. Conducted by Leonard Tan, the concert will celebrate the works of Singapore’s musical forefathers and showcase contemporary composers.
