Emirates is set to hold a recruitment drive in Singapore on July 16, 2024, aiming to expand its multinational cabin crew team. With ambitious fleet expansion plans, Emirates intends to recruit 5,000 cabin crew members globally this year, increasing its team by 25%.
The Dubai-based airline is seeking individuals passionate about delivering personalized and impeccable hospitality, creating memorable moments for customers. Safety is a top priority, and ideal candidates will be confident leaders capable of managing aircraft services, security, and safety procedures. Successful recruits will undergo world-class training at Emirates’ state-of-the-art facility in Dubai.
The invite-only recruitment drive on July 16, 2024, will be held in Singapore. Interested candidates must apply via the Emirates Group Career website to be shortlisted and invited. Emirates will continue to host recruitment events in Singapore throughout the year.
Emirates’ recruitment team will hold open days and assessments in over 460 cities across six continents in 2024, reflecting the airline’s extensive network and diverse cabin crew team. In 2023, Emirates hired 8,000 cabin crew members and conducted recruitment events in 353 cities. The airline’s cabin crew numbers surpassed 20,000 in August 2023 and currently stand at 22,000.
This recruitment drive coincides with Emirates taking delivery of new A350s later this year and Boeing 777-Xs in 2025. The airline has 65 A350s and 205 777-9s and 777-8s on order, poised to expand its reach and add new routes to its network.
New recruits will undergo an intensive seven and a half weeks of training, learning to deliver the highest standards of hospitality, safety, and service. Training at Emirates’ facility in Dubai equips cabin crew with transferable skills in communication, initiative, leadership, and the ability to work effectively in multicultural teams. Crew members also have access to the latest training programs and LinkedIn courses.
Emirates’ cabin crew team includes members from over 140 nationalities, speaking more than 70 languages. Over 75 cabin crew members hail from Singapore. The multicultural environment fosters lifelong friendships, teamwork, and a shared service philosophy.
Emirates offers excellent career progression opportunities, including upgrades to higher cabin classes, roles as cabin supervisors, pursers, or trainers. Currently, the airline boasts 1,180 pursers who have advanced after rigorous training and assessments. Cabin crew members can also apply for internal vacancies throughout the Emirates Group.
