Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre Presents Tribute to Legendary Comedians Wang Sha and Ye Feng

This July, the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) is honoring the legacy of pioneering local comedians Wang Sha and Ye Feng with two significant projects: a documentary co-produced with Mediacorp and a special exhibition.

Documentary: Legends of Singapore Comedy 逗笑人间60

The documentary, Legends of Singapore Comedy 逗笑人间60, delves into the enduring legacy of Wang Sha and Ye Feng, highlighting their profound impact on Singapore’s cultural landscape. Featuring original footage, film memorabilia, posters, and interviews with notable figures such as Mrs. Wang Sha, Jack Neo, and Robert Chua, the film traces the duo’s illustrious career, bringing laughter to countless Singaporeans. This collaborative production between SCCC and Mediacorp celebrates the iconic pair’s contributions, aiming to revive cherished memories for older audiences and introduce younger generations to these comedic legends who shaped Singapore’s entertainment scene.

Special Exhibition: Legends of Singapore Comedy: An Exhibition on Wang Sha & Ye Feng

Complementing the documentary is a four-month special exhibition, Legends of Singapore Comedy: An Exhibition on Wang Sha & Ye Feng, held at SCCC from 6 July to 5 November 2024. The exhibition chronicles the lives and careers of Wang Sha and Ye Feng, spotlighting their memorable performances and significant contributions over different periods. The exhibition features a collection of memorabilia from their stage and screen performances, offering a nostalgic experience for visitors.
