Earlier this week, Lenovo presented a suite of AI solutions at its flagship TechDay event, showcasing AI innovations from the world’s largest maker of personal computers and laptops. Aligning with Singapore’s $1 billion AI investment strategy, Lenovo’s offerings aim to enhance the nation’s technological edge and productivity. The solutions span four key areas: technology, security, processes, and people, reflecting findings from Lenovo’s Global CIO Report 2024 where AI emerged as a top priority.
Technology: Next-Gen AI PCs
Lenovo introduced the ThinkPad X1 series and Yoga Slim 7i, Yoga Pro 7i, and Yoga Book 9i laptops, equipped with the latest Intel Core Ultra processors and advanced AI features. These devices aim to boost productivity and user experience with AI-driven functionalities such as task automation and enhanced virtual interactions.
Security: AI-Powered Cyber Resiliency
To address cybersecurity challenges, Lenovo launched Cyber Resiliency as a Service (CRaaS). This AI-powered solution integrates Lenovo device telemetry with Microsoft’s security suite, offering businesses robust protection against cyber threats, ensuring minimal disruption and enhanced business continuity.
Processes: Smart Manufacturing and Retail Solutions
Lenovo’s smart manufacturing solutions were a highlight, particularly the debut of the six-legged robot, Daystar Bot GS, in Singapore.
This robot, ideal for critical inspections in restricted environments, demonstrated unmatched stability and maneuverability. Other showcased solutions included award-winning retail technologies like self-service kiosks and dynamic pricing systems.
People: Innovation and Sustainability
Lenovo is committed to fostering innovation, through providing support for startups like Gignite and Syrius Technology. Additionally, the Reduced Carbon Transport Service was introduced, allowing customers to reduce their carbon footprint through Sustainable Aviation Fuel credits, aligning with Singapore’s Green Plan.
“We are at an inflection point where an AI-powered future is not only about technology but about building a more inclusive, sustainable, and intelligent world together,” shared Nigel Lee, Lenovo Singapore Country Manager, emphasising Lenovo’s dedication to enhancing efficiency and performance while promoting AI adoption across industries.
