The Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) is set to host the grand finale of #SGFASHIONNOW: Runway Singapore, alongside the debut of #SGJEWELLERYNOW, from 27 June 2024 to 1 September 2024. These highly anticipated events will showcase the best of contemporary Singapore fashion and jewellery, highlighting the nation’s rich multicultural heritage and innovative spirit.

Returning to Singapore after its premiere in South Korea, #SGFASHIONNOW: Runway Singapore will feature the works of 28 established and emerging designers. This final and largest edition, co-curated with students from the School of Fashion at LASALLE College of the Arts, emphasizes sustainability with an exhibition design utilizing upcycled materials.
The event celebrates Singapore’s contemporary fashion scene, reflecting the city’s multicultural, cosmopolitan heritage. Visitors will explore themes of craftsmanship, innovation in tradition, and urban styles. Highlights include iconic pieces by Benny Ong, Time Taken to Make a Dress, and Harry Halim—designs previously worn by the late Princess Diana, Singaporean actress Constance Lau, and K-pop star CL from 2NE1. A standout feature is a new commission by Baëlf Design, merging fashion and art, on display for the first time in Singapore.
In addition to the exhibition, #SGFASHIONNOW: Runway Singapore will offer talks and a comprehensive catalogue, providing an insightful look into ACM’s evolving dialogue with the fashion community.

Debuting on the same dates, #SGJEWELLERYNOW will be ACM’s first showcase of contemporary Singapore jewellery. This unique display will feature works by prominent local designers and houses, including Edmond Chin, State Property, and Foundation Jewellers. Each piece offers a modern reinterpretation of Southeast Asian heritage, such as a Peranakan-style brooch once worn by the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Staged as an intervention in the museum’s Jewellery Gallery, #SGJEWELLERYNOW will juxtapose contemporary designs with ACM’s permanent collection, celebrating the multicultural influences and exceptional craftsmanship that define Singapore jewellery.
These dual exhibitions promise to provide an enriching experience, celebrating the creativity and cultural heritage of Singapore through fashion and jewellery.
