Singapore Sports Hub and HYPEBEAST Join Forces for “Festival of Basketball”

Singapore Sports Hub has teamed up with the youth culture giant HYPEBEAST for the much-anticipated Festival of Basketball, a dynamic collaboration celebrating the fusion of basketball, skateboarding, and the arts. Running from now until mid-April, this exciting event promises to captivate enthusiasts and spectators alike with its vibrant blend of sports, lifestyle, and culture.

Coinciding with the highly anticipated FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup 2024, scheduled to take place at the Singapore Sports Hub from March 27 to March 31, the Festival of Basketball aims to breathe new life into the sports landscape. By transforming the Sports Hub into a multifaceted cultural hub, the festival aims to create an immersive experience that transcends traditional sporting events.

More than just a celebration of basketball, the festival delves into the rich culture surrounding the sport. Visitors can expect to be enthralled by eye-catching murals, interactive installations, and engaging activities that showcase the diverse facets of basketball culture. At the heart of the festival lies the Garden City Slam mural at the Sports Hub Skate Park, crafted by the multi-disciplinary artist Alvin Tan.

Skaters, basketball enthusiasts, and members of the community are invited to participate in the creation of this iconic mural alongside Alvin on Sunday, March 31, from 1 to 3 PM. It’s an opportunity for individuals to immerse themselves in the creative process and leave their mark on this dynamic cultural landscape.
