This marks the brand’s 19th global property and its second venture in the bustling metropolis of Tokyo. The launch festivities, held on March 14th and 15th, were graced by a star-studded lineup of international and local VIP guests, creating an unforgettable celebration of Japanese modernity and tradition.
A Culinary Extravaganza
The inaugural evening on March 14th saw guests gathered at the sophisticated 14-storey boutique hotel, where they were treated to a culinary journey at Sophie at EDITION, the hotel’s exquisite Japanese-infused modern brasserie. Delightful dishes featuring the freshest seasonal ingredients sourced directly from local suppliers adorned the tables. From Grilled Salmon with Wilted Spinach and Horseradish Sauce to Roasted Whole Chicken with Tokyo Yuzu Pepper and Fresh Herb Sauce, every bite was a testament to culinary excellence.
As the night unfolded, guests were treated to an enthralling performance by N’Dea Davenport and pulsating DJ sets by renowned artists like Nick Grimshaw, AMIAYA, and Daito Manabe. The electrifying atmosphere at Sophie at EDITION undoubtedly set a new standard for Tokyo’s nightlife scene.

Simultaneously, guests reveled in the intimate ambience of Punch Room, the hotel’s global cocktail bar concept inspired by 19th-century London private clubs. This unique lounge, a first of its kind in Japan, hosted a captivating punch bowl ritual and featured mesmerizing performances by Kona Rose and dynamic DJ sets by SHUZO, YAMATO, and Sunny. The festivities continued on the second day at The Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon, where guests indulged in champagne against the stunning backdrop of Tokyo Tower.
