[Review] Eggslut Singapore Introduces “Soy Chic”: Their First Fried Chicken Sandwich

To start 2024, Eggslut Singapore is adding a new burger to their menu – “Soy Chic”, Egglslut’s first friend chicken sandwich priced at $12 ala carte. Available from 15 January 2024, this new addition seeks to bring culinary chic to the current menu with a sophisticated yet playful twist.

Crafted to epitomise sophistication with a dash of playfulness, Soy Chic features a succulent fried chicken thigh coated in Eggslut’s house-made soy glaze, offering a balance of both sweet and savoury notes. Nestled between two toasted brioche buns, the Soy Chic is adorned with a cheddar slice, Eggslut’s signature over-easy egg, and a house-made coleslaw for a refreshing crunch.

With this new chicken burger, diners who do not take beef or prefer another choice of meat will now have one more option to choose from.

It is seldom that the humble egg takes centre stage and is the highlight ingredient for a burger dish, but such is the unique case of Eggslut burgers whereby the brand maintains its commitment to using high-quality ingredients, especially when it comes to eggs. All the eggs used in Eggslut dishes are sourced from cage-free hens, contributing to the burger’s deliciousness and overall quality. This is the same for the Soy Chic too.

We were invited to a tasting of the new Soy Chic and we love the blend of sweet savoury notes, further elevated by the crunchy texture of the coleslaw and the succulent chicken.
