The awards, based on a staggering 309 million verified customer reviews, reveal this year’s most welcoming destinations on Earth and recognize the outstanding efforts of Singapore’s hospitality industry.

Global Recognition: A Record 1,484,294 Accommodations Shine

A total of 1,484,294 accommodations, 449 rental car companies, and 129 taxi providers worldwide are honored with the Booking.com Traveller Review Award 2024. Italy continues its winning streak for the seventh consecutive year, leading with 181,012 award recipients, followed by Spain (125,611), France (124,361), Germany (86,910), and the United Kingdom (74,754).

Singapore’s Hospitality Gems: 162 Properties Shine

In Singapore, 162 accommodation partners have been distinguished with the Traveller Review Award 2024. Accumulating over 150,000 reviews, these properties boast an impressive average review score of 8.5. Notable awardees include Marina Bay Sands (Score: 9.2), Four Seasons Hotel Singapore (Score: 9.1), The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore (Score: 9), and The Fullerton Hotel Singapore (Score: 8.9), among others.

Accommodation Trends: Apartments Lead Globally, Hotels Rule in Singapore

Globally, apartments continue to be the most-awarded accommodation type, securing 710,687 awards for the seventh consecutive year. However, Singapore’s preferences differ, with hotels (102) claiming the top spot for the third time. Aparthotels (43), hostels (6), capsule hotels (4), and resorts (3) round out the most-awarded accommodation types in Singapore.

Transportation Excellence: Taxi Partners Shine in Singapore

Booking.com extends recognition to ground transportation partners for their exceptional service and hospitality. Among 449 car rental partners globally, Spain leads with 84 recognized companies, followed by Italy (74), Portugal (47), Greece (42), and the US (28). In a special milestone, 129 taxi partners are acknowledged, with Italy (17) and Spain (12) at the forefront. Singapore celebrates two taxi partners receiving awards for the first time.

Global Hospitality: 2024’s Most Welcoming Cities on Earth

Booking.com reveals the most welcoming cities on Earth for 2024, with Arraial d’Ajuda, Brazil, claiming the top spot. Other notable cities include Ermoupoli, Greece; Viana do Castelo, Portugal; Daylesford, Australia; and Grindelwald, Switzerland, rounding out the top five. The list continues with destinations like Moab (United States), Uzès (France), Mazatlán (Mexico), Jaisalmer (India), and Fujikawaguchiko (Japan).
