Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) welcomes the Year of the Dragon with a dazzling array of festivities, entertainment, and culinary delights all set against the backdrop of this premium lifestyle destination.
As visitors immerse themselves in the Lunar New Year spirit at RWS, they can experience the Starlit Dragon Spectacular – a captivating live performance featuring an impressive 88-meter LED Dragon. This free public show unfolds under a starry night sky, symbolizing the ushering in of the auspicious Year of the Dragon. The spectacle commences with a thrilling performance by five drummers, representing the five elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Spirit).
Scheduled from February 10 to 13 and February 16 to 18, 2024, at 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm at the Lake of Dreams on Level One at the Forum, the show promises to be a highlight of RWS’s Lunar New Year celebrations. Look out for special appearances by the God of Fortune as a pre-show item on these dates.
From January 23 to the end of February 2024, visitors can capture Instagram-worthy moments for free at AVE8’s Wealth of Dragons. The exhibit features a stunning five-meter-tall Dragon accompanied by eight adorable mini Dragons. Zodiac Gardens, located at AVE8 and Level Basement One of the Forum at RWS, offers a glimpse into visitors’ fortunes for the year.
Building on the success of the recent Superstar Christmas holiday extravaganza, Gourmet Park and AVE8 will once again host live bands, treating visitors to melodious performances. AVE8 live bands will serenade audiences from February 10 to 18 and on February 24, 2024. Gourmet Park, a food truck paradise, will offer a blend of East meets West with live bands on February 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, and 24, 2024.
RWS’s themed attractions join the celebration with “Spring in the Sea” at S.E.A. Aquarium from January 26 to February 25, 2024. The underwater dragon dance presentation at the Open Ocean Habitat is a visual feast symbolizing aspirations for excellence and success. Guests can also learn auspicious meanings of Lunar New Year greetings inspired by marine animals and participate in the “Spot the Weedy Sea Dragons” contest for a chance to win VIP tickets.
Under the theme “Soar into Fun,” Universal Studios Singapore at RWS invites guests from January 27 to February 25, 2024, to enjoy exciting experiences, live shows featuring DreamWorks Animation’s Po and Master Tigress, captivating lantern displays, and meet-and-greets with beloved characters. The Lunar New Year event is included with regular admission, and special packages include shopping vouchers and combo meals.
For those seeking a gastronomic adventure, RWS offers an array of sumptuous feasting options and festive takeaways. Feng Shui Inn, led by Executive Chef Li Kwok Kwong, presents meticulously crafted menus featuring dishes like Double-boiled Imperial Bird’s Nest and Stewed 6 Head South Africa Abalone.
Guests can also indulge in ala-carte highlights such as Lobster, Shredded Taro, Ice Plant Crystalline Yu Sheng and Classic Auspicious Treasure Pen Cai. Seafood enthusiasts can savor the Stir-fried Tiger Prawns, Dried Oyster, Spring Onion, while the Signature Roasted Crispy Chicken and Golden Ingot Nian Gao add traditional flair to the festivities.
In a nod to innovation and sustainability, RWS collaborates with At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy to introduce festive hampers that blend culinary creativity with eco-consciousness.
