Kallang Alive Sport Management Celebrates A Year of Success and Unveils Exciting Plans for 2024

Kallang Alive Sport Management (KASM) is concluding 2023 on a high note, showcasing robust growth in sports, entertainment, and lifestyle event days at the Singapore Sports Hub. This achievement marks a significant milestone, surpassing the pre-COVID levels of 2019.

Throughout the year, KASM hosted a diverse range of events, bringing together communities and catering to various interests. Highlights include over 140 National School Games, international sporting events like the FIBA Intercontinental Cup and Hyrox’s debut fitness race in Southeast Asia, and the iconic Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon held inside the National Stadium. The 14th Women’s World Floorball Championships (WFC) in December is also a historic event, being only the second time it has been held outside of Europe.

Singapore Sports Hub experiences 30% growth in events, strengthening communities in sports, entertainment, and lifestyle.

In the realm of entertainment, KASM set records with sold-out performances by renowned international and Asian artists. Jacky Cheung’s 60+ Concert Tour, in particular, marked a milestone with the most shows in a single leg of a concert tour in Singapore. Festive celebrations and grassroots events further strengthened community bonds, with over 200,000 participants engaging in various cultural celebrations.

As KASM celebrates its first anniversary since taking over the Singapore Sports Hub, the community is invited to join in the festivities. Minister for Culture, Community and Youth & Second Minister for Law, Edwin Tong, officially kicked off the celebration with a festive light-up. Over three weekends, the public can partake in Christmas activities, live performances, and even meet Santa Claus and Santarina for a picture-perfect holiday season.

Looking ahead to 2024, KASM promises an equally exciting lineup. Anticipated sporting events include the revamped HSBC SVNS Singapore, FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup, and FIBA Intercontinental Cup. In the entertainment sphere, the Singapore Sports Hub will host globally acclaimed artists such as Mayday, Coldplay, and Taylor Swift, with the latter making a significant mark by choosing Singapore’s National Stadium as the only venue in Asia, outside of Japan, for “The Eras Tour.” With nearly 300,000 fans expected to attend, this event is set to be a major highlight.

The Kallang Alive precinct is undergoing transformative changes, with the completion of the Kallang Football and Tennis Hubs by the end of 2023. These investments in technology and infrastructure will open up new opportunities for a wider array of sporting events, community programming, and introduce new retail and lifestyle experiences for all at the Singapore Sports Hub.

In summary, Kallang Alive Sport Management’s successful 2023 sets the stage for an even more thrilling and diverse calendar in 2024, promising a year filled with unforgettable sports, entertainment, and lifestyle experiences for the Singapore community and beyond.
