Leica SOFORT 2: Embrace the perfect blend of digital convenience and analog nostalgia

In the early days of photography, the process was a far cry from the instant gratification we’re accustomed to today. Hours to days passed before a captured image could be viewed. Fast forward to 1947, and the era of instant cameras was born, becoming iconic, especially in the 70s and 80s. These cameras symbolized acceleration back then, but in our fast-paced world today, they represent a precious moment of caution and relief. It’s no surprise that the allure of instant photography is experiencing a resurgence.

And now, Leica Camera AG is introducing the second generation of their instant camera with the Leica SOFORT 2, seamlessly blending fleeting digital moments with the timeless analog world.

A Fusion of Modern Design and Expertise

The Leica SOFORT 2 boasts a modern, minimalist, and elegant design that stands as a testament to the company’s expertise in industrial design. It delivers the quintessential Leica brand experience, with a user-friendly menu structure and button layout that align with other digital Leica cameras.

What’s New with the Leica SOFORT 2

The SOFORT 2 introduces the exciting option to permanently save digital images and cherry-pick the best shots before printing them. This includes photos from your smartphone and those taken with other Leica cameras, all conveniently stored in the gallery of the seamlessly connected Leica FOTOS App. Using the app, these photos can be effortlessly transferred to the camera and printed as instant photos. Just pull the manual printing lever on the camera, and within seconds, you’ll have your prints on Instax Mini format photo paper. Leica even offers exclusive photo paper with warm-white or golden frames.

Ease of Use Meets Creativity

The Leica SOFORT 2 is designed to be user-friendly, minimalist, and stylish. Available in black, red, and white, it’s the kind of camera that finds a permanent place in the family, at events, and during travels, creating special shared experiences. It also boasts numerous fun features for creative photography, including a selfie mode with a dedicated shutter button, a landscape mode for wide-angle shots, a macro mode for stunning close-ups from up to 10cm away, as well as 10 lens and 10 film effects to unleash your artistic side.

Accessories to Elevate Your Experience

The SOFORT 2 offers a range of versatile accessories to complement your photography adventures. Stylish wooden picture frames beautifully showcase your prints, while wrist straps, carrying straps, bags, and other high-quality accessories emphasize the camera’s individuality and your creative flair. Most importantly, they celebrate the individuals who use this camera to capture and share those special moments, whether as analog instant photos or digital memories on social media.

Pricing and Availability

The Leica SOFORT 2 is priced at S$580.00 and is available in white and black variants at official Leica Singapore Stores and authorized dealers. If you’re eyeing the striking red variant, you can exclusively find it on the Leica Online Store starting from 9 November 2023.
