The Macallan is bringing its mesmerizing art exhibition to the Lion City. As it celebrates its latest travel retail exclusive whisky range, The Colour Collection, in collaboration with the globally acclaimed artist and graphic designer, David Carson, this event promises to be a journey for the senses.
A Global Art Tour Comes to Singapore
The Macallan’s interactive art exhibition is embarking on a global tour, with previous stops in London, Los Angeles, Shanghai, and Dubai. Now, it’s Singapore’s turn to immerse itself in this unique experience. From 7 – 11 October 2023, the ArtScience Museum will play host to this captivating event. The goal? To unite The Macallan community and offer them a taste of David Carson’s creativity while allowing them to explore the elements that inspired The Macallan’s Colour Collection.
A Multifaceted Art and Whisky Experience
Visitors to the exhibition will embark on a guided journey through the gallery, where they’ll encounter Carson’s art pieces inspired by The Macallan’s whisky-making process. Highlights include a Time Tunnel, offering insight into the maturation of whisky, and the Exploration of Colours, an immersive and textural showcase that brings Carson’s work to life using augmented reality.
The culmination of the experience is a tasting of The Macallan whisky. Depending on their ticket option, guests will either enjoy curated canapés and whisky pairings with The Macallan Brand Ambassador for $65 or savor a specially crafted cocktail featuring The Colour Collection for $20.
The Macallan’s Colour Collection: A Marriage of Art and Whisky
The Macallan Colour Collection is a brand-new range of exquisite age statement whiskies that pay tribute to The Macallan’s commitment to natural color and the influence of sherry seasoning. This collection introduces a fresh visual identity inspired by The Macallan Estate, the brand’s spiritual home, and its deep connection to nature. Collaborating with David Carson, inspired by the historic vineyards and fine wines of Jerez, where The Macallan’s sherry-seasoned oak casks are crafted, this collection boasts five age statement single malt Scotch whiskies. It marks the return of age statement whiskies to The Macallan’s global travel retail offerings.
Each expression in the range, from the golden oak of the 12 Years Old to the burnished chestnut of the 30 Years Old, showcases the magnificent natural tones derived from maturation in sherry-seasoned oak casks. Crafted to perfection by The Macallan Whisky Mastery Team, these casks are filled with the brand’s signature rich and fruity new make spirit in Scotland.
Artistry in Packaging
David Carson’s artistic touch extends to the packaging of The Colour Collection. Each bottle’s colors have been thoughtfully chosen to complement the whisky’s shade and reflect the terroir of Jerez. The wooden boxes for the 21 Years Old and 30 Years Old expressions are made from sustainable oak, aligning with The Macallan’s commitment to responsible practices.

The Colour Collection is available at Lotte Duty Free stores in Singapore Changi Airport. For an exclusive experience, there’s a dedicated Southeast Asia pop-up for The Macallan Colour Collection at Changi Airport’s Departure Hall Terminal 3, open until 18 October 2023.
