London’s renowned Rome-inspired café bar, Bar Termini, has made its way to the vibrant streets of Singapore, bringing with it a selection of bottled Negronis and the captivating Il Diciotto amaro. This marks the very first time these delectable concoctions have graced the Asian market, and they’ve found a home at Singapore’s very own coffee and wine bar, Wildcard. Let’s dive into this exciting fusion of Italian charm and Singaporean zest!
In Singapore, you have the privilege of savoring four distinct varieties of these bottled Negronis, each an exquisite blend of complex bitter and sweet notes, with a touch of citrus fruits and botanical wonders:
Negroni Classico (S$92 / 750ml): The quintessential aged Negroni, a traditional blend of London dry gin, Italian vermouth, and Campari—a classic aperitivo that’s simply irresistible.
Negroni Superiore (S$92 / 750ml): Building upon the Classico, this variation introduces an infusion of pink peppercorns, resulting in a subtly spicy and aromatic finish.
Negroni Rosato (S$92 / 750ml): For those with a penchant for delicate florals, the Negroni Rosato infuses dried pink rose petals into the mix, adding a fragrant twist to the traditional recipe.
Negroni Robusto (S$98 / 750ml): Aged beyond the Classico, this variant offers depth and a more robust flavor, perfect for those seeking a bolder taste experience.
And for the true Bar Termini aficionados, you can even purchase the bar’s signature glassware, including sets of two Negroni glasses (S$50) and two Amaro glasses (S$45) to complete your at-home experience.
Il Diciotto: The Modern Italian Amaro
Il Diciotto (S$40 / 500ml), a contemporary twist on the traditional Italian Amaro, is handcrafted in London using 18 carefully selected natural botanicals, including citrus fruits, flowers, herbs, and roots. Inspired by the nuanced flavors of amaro from Bergamo, Italy, founder Alessandro Belometti embarked on a journey to create this delightful version, which initially made its mark as the house amaro at Bar Termini. Il Diciotto is incredibly versatile and can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or as a key ingredient in your favorite cocktails, making it suitable for any occasion.
