Society Pass Launches Loyalty App and Points System in Southeast Asia

During a launch event in Singapore at Clifford Pier, Society Pass Incorporated (SoPa), a company operating in the loyalty, fintech, and e-commerce spaces, officially unveiled its universal loyalty application, the Society Pass Loyalty Wallet on 28 June, 2023.

The platform is said to be able to empower both consumers and merchants to seamlessly buy, earn, and redeem loyalty points known as Society Points.

SoPa’s vision of “building the next generation digital ecosystem and loyalty platform in SEA” is claimed to have attracted over 3.3 million registered users and more than 650,000 registered merchants since its inception in 2018. Their ecosystem is said to encompass five key business verticals—travel, fashion, telecoms, digital marketing, and F&B—spanning across five Southeast Asian countries: Vietnam, Indonesia, The Philippines, Thailand, and Singapore.

One of the highlights of the launch event was the introduction of the first two partners of the Loyalty App: Nusatrip.com, one of Indonesia’s oldest online travel agencies, and Gorilla Global, SoPa’s travel telecommunications arm which sells digital e-SIMs.

Looking ahead, SoPa has plans to integrate all its ventures within the ecosystem into the Loyalty App by the end of Q4 2023. This integration seeks to deliver a seamless shopping experience across their claimed network of over 650,000 merchants.

“We designed a best-in-class user interface backed by fully integrated backend infrastructure to kickstart a virtuous cycle of revenue generation and loyalty creation.” Shared Howie Ng, Chief Technology Officer of SoPa.

Founded in 2018, Society Pass Incorporated (Nasdaq: SOPA) operates as an acquisition-focused holding company, interconnecting six distinct verticals within the loyalty, digital media, travel, telecoms, lifestyle, and F&B sectors. The company went public with its initial public offering and began trading on the Nasdaq under the ticker SOPA in November 2021, subsequently joining the Russell 2000 index in December 2021.
