This year’s Anime Festival Asia in Singapore will feature a game-like experience the moment you enter the festival grounds

Anime Festival Asia Singapore 2022 (#AFASG22), Southeast Asia’s biggest and most prestigious Japanese Pop Culture event, will return to Singapore in a physical format this November.

To be held from 25 to 27 November 2022 at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre, the experiential festival will bring the best and latest trending anime, cosplay, and gaming content to fans in Singapore and the region.

With a theme of AFAVERSE, the 2022 edition promises a multiverse of fun and excitement to all ACG (Animation, Comics, and Games) fans and Japanese popular culture enthusiasts.

For the first time, you will enjoy a game-like experience from the moment you step into the festival grounds. Gamified elements will be incorporated into dedicated festival zones, which will range from anime and gaming experiences direct from Japan, to an expanded AFA Creators Hub, a platform for local creatives to showcase their work.

AFA Night Live! Announced

The organisers shared details on AFA Night Live! which presents a stellar cast of virtual YouTubers (VTubers) and artistes. For the first time in Singapore, you will be able to experience hololive Meet, an interactive live talk show and Meet & Greet session with some of the world’s most celebrated VTubers, on 26 November.

I Love Anisong, one of the region’s most anticipated music events, will return for one night only on 27 November.

Highlights of AFA Night Live! include:

• Hololive Meet will see VTubers Moona Hoshinova (hololive Indonesia), Anya Melfissa (hololive Indonesia), Mori Calliope (hololive English), Gawr Gura (hololive English) make their debut in Singapore.
• Watame Night Fever!!: Vtuber Tsunomaki Watame will be performing in a full 3-D concert, as part of AFA Night Live! on 26 November.
• Heavyweights and new to Singapore anisong artistes: JUNNA, May’n, nanawoakari, NHOT BOT, Yuka Nagase for I Love Anisong 2022. You can catch the popular anime music festival, with 4 hours of concerts by 4 artistes/artiste groups and 3 special showcases by virtual talents. More artistes will be announced closer to the event date.

You can now purchase the 2-Day VIP Ticket Packages online. In addition to access to exhibition grounds, the packages include meet and greet ballot chances for hololive Meet, autograph ballot chances for selected I Love Anisong performing artistes, printed autograph posters and more.

Early Bird 2 Day VIP Tickets are available right now via Ticketmaster. GA (General Admission) and Single Day tickets will be available from 30 September.

All AFA tickets will be made available online, ticket prices start from S$21 / Day for Exhibition and S$32 / Day for Exhibition + Stage.
