Asia’s fastest growing mental health startup, Intellect, is hosting the inaugural Mental Health Festival Asia 2021 on 28 and 29 October.
The two-day virtual conference, held in line with World Mental Health month, is the largest in Asia, bringing together an extensive speaking panel comprising mental health experts, celebrities, and leaders from the public and private sectors.
The conference, themed ‘Shifting the narrative of mental health in Asia’, aims to increase awareness and destigmatise mental health in the region.
It will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions and interactive Q&A sessions from:
- Rahayu Mahzam – Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Health, Singapore
- David Chua – CEO, National Youth Council Singapore
- Dr. Oliver Suendermann – Deputy Director of Clinical Psychology, National University of Singapore

It will also see the participation of corporate leaders including Ingo Laubender, Head of People, APAC, Foodpanda and Nandini Joshi, Chief Operating Officer, Stashaway and non-profit organisations like Care Corner.
The conference will focus on a wide range of topics around two main areas, mental health for youth, education and the public on 28 October and mental health for workplaces on 29 October.
The first day of the conference will see conversations around youth mental health, mental health literacy in education, tackling loneliness and social isolation among seniors, and preventing mental health struggles.
The second day will revolve around mental health for families, mental wellness in the workforce, financial wellness and digitisation of mental healthcare. The event also includes stress-relieving workshops like yoga, meditation and pilates.
