Sunday Catering, the delivery-only, sister brand of ribs specialty restaurant, Morganfield’s, has rolled out a Father’s Day menu that is perfect for meat lovers. Previously, they rolled out a popular Christmas festive menu, to great reviews as well as a well-received Easter menu.
If you trust Morganfield’s with your meat, you can trust Sunday Catering to deliver at the same high standards too.
With the latest announcement from the Singapore government that restaurant dine-ins won’t be resuming till at least after 21 June, this would mean that Father’s Day celebratory meals would have to do done at home.
Sunday Catering provides a variety of roast meat and other western food options for you to curate your own family feast at home, delivered fresh and piping hot.
Asher and I were treated to an early Father’s Day feast from Sunday Catering earlier this week, featuring their key highlight items in the special menu:
The brand prides itself on its simple, straightforward menu whereby the emphasis is on good ingredients that are cooked well. There is really nothing super fancy, but the focus on quality, cooking and preparation processes deliver in the result.
For Father’s Day, Sunday Catering has introduced a Smoked 100-Day Barley Fed Short Rib, said to be the result of a long series of kitchen tests. Starting with sourcing for the best meat, tasting rib after rib before finally deciding on short ribs from 100-day barley fed Australian free-range cattle.
The short rib is smoked for over 7 hours to create that “Fall-off-the-bone” tender perfection. Slow cooking, especially slow smoking, also helps the collagen to cook down into melty gelatine.
To make it a feast with all the trimmings, surround your main with the Father’s Day Special sides of the Whisky Glazed House Smoked Bacon, Triple Cheese Garlic Sourdough, and Roasted Asparagus with Bacon.
We sampled all the four items mentioned here and absolutely love the rich flavours, hearty portions and sinful indulgence which is synonymous with the Sunday Catering brand.
The short rib literally slide off the bone as described. Tender and moist, it is complemented with the melty gelatine for the complete flavour and texture.
One of the biggest surprises was the humble sourdough which was so delicious it left us craving for more when we finished it all up in one meal. The garlicky aroma, sweet, sour and savoury notes were all on point and go well on their own or when dipped in the Chimichurri sauce provided if you like an extra punch.
If you are interested to order from Sunday Catering, do use our promo code below for a discount. We would highly recommend getting the short rib and the sourdough, together with a mix of other accompanying sides like mashed potatoes, carrots and such for a complete feast.
