One thing we all miss about buffets is walking around the different food stations, surveying the myriad offerings and strategizing which sections to attack first. So, in this era of safe-distancing, we are glad Food Capital at Grand Copthrone has brought back this aspect of buffets which is much missed!
While we cannot self-service (to avoid situations of crowding at the booths), we can walk around freely to watch the chefs in action and look at the actual food options before ordering. This is so much more interactive and interesting than simply ordering from a static menu.
We feast with our eyes before our mouths. Food Capital at Grand Copthrone certainly understood this idea, going by the amount of thought that went into their buffet displays.
Begin your meal with the traditional prosperity toss from Food Capital’s Yu Sheng Bar which offers a selection of toppings such as Abalone, Lobster (available from 11 to 14 February 2021), Norwegian Smoked Salmon and Applewood Smoked Duck in Exotic Plum and Mandarin Orange Dressing.
Symbolising abundance of good fortune, the newly introduced Extravaganza Crustacean Seafood Bag holds favourites such as Live Mud Crab, Tiger Prawn, Squid, New Zealand Green-Lipped Mussel, Flower Clam, Blue Flower Crab, Sea Scallop, Corn and more, tossed in your choice of tangy spicy sauce or creamy curry butter. (1 serving per table)
Don’t forget the crowd favourites like Golden Pumpkin Four Treasure Soup, Signature Laksa, Crispy Golden Tempura, Crispy Roast Pork Belly, Kurobuta Pork Char Siew, Lamb Shank, Freshly Made Naan, Crab Butter Masala from the Tandoor Corner and more.
Elevate your buffet experience with the dinner option. The buffet dinner features Seafood on Ice, Roast Peking Duck with Chinese BBQ Sauce and the option of Canadian Lobster in the Extravaganza Crustacean Seafood Bag.
From 11 to 14 February 2021, diners can enjoy the bountiful Abalone and Lobster Yu Sheng and nourishing Double-boiled Mini Buddha Jump Over The Wall.
For a theatrical end to your sumptuous meal, indulge your senses with the Cold Yam Custard with Coconut Foam Smoked with Lemongrass and Steamed Yam Cube, Yam Paste, Coconut Foam Cream and Lemongrass Scent. A noteworthy selection of desserts include Almond Fruit Cake with Eight Treasures, Pandan Layer Cake with Coconut Whipped Cream, Crystal Tang Yuan in Brown Sugar Soup and more.
