Starting 23 January, McDonald’s Singapore will launch an all-new exclusive 12-book series as part of the Happy Meal Readers Programme throughout the year. The series, Treetop Twins Wilderness Adventures written exclusively for McDonald’s® by globally renowned author and illustrator, Cressida Cowell, features the world of endangered and extinct animals.
The Happy Meal Readers programme is part of McDonald’s long-term commitment to provide meaningful, feel-good family experiences – by promoting reading amongst young children, and as an activity for family bonding. To bring the books to life, there will also be storytelling sessions in selected restaurants over the weekends.
All these coupled with a warm touch of hospitality – ongoing table service and in-store family activities led by McDonald’s Guest Experience Leaders and Family Ambassadors – complete the family experience at McDonald’s.
Treetop Twins Wilderness Adventures by Cressida Cowell
Written exclusively for McDonald’s by Cressida Cowell, globally renowned author and illustrator of the bestselling How To Train Your Dragon series, the Treetop Twins Wilderness Adventures is the second book series in the Happy Meal Readers Programme featuring 12 standalone stories following two pairs of twins who travel across the globe and back in time, braving through unique terrains, with their scientist parents to discover the world of endangered and extinct animals.
With these books, both parents and children will embark on educational adventures together and learn more about animals including Polar Bears, Pink Dolphins and Woolly Mammoths – through a series of fun facts and activities.
Exclusively available at McDonald’s, each book from the Treetop Twins Wilderness Adventures series will be released every four to five weeks, and will also be made available digitally through the McDonald’s Happy Studio app.
Storytelling Sessions at McDonald’s
Families can look forward to more immersive storytelling experiences while learning more about wildlife conservation in a fun and interactive way.
The storytelling sessions include a variety of activities including storytelling by Ronald McDonald, McDonald’s Guest Experience Leaders, and National Library Board’s Junior and Teen Reading Ambassadors. Each session will also have exciting craft activities hosted by McDonald’s very own Family Ambassadors.
McDonald’s Singapore will also be organising bigger and even more exciting storytelling events during the March and June school holidays in selected areas of Singapore for all families to enjoy.
