What happens to your Nespresso capsule after use? Throw it? Well, now, you don’t have to. Recycling your capsule is like hitting two birds with one stone. It will not only benefit mother earth but the Asian dining culture as well.
With its latest initiative, Nespresso pays tribute to Asian dining culture by creating a set of Limited-Edition chopsticks made with aluminium from 30 Nespresso capsules recycled in Asia. The recycled aluminium takes its colour from the Volluto capsule with a graceful motif to illustrate the farms where Nespresso’s coffee originates.
The eco-friendly box enclosing the chopsticks is made of Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified and may also be reused as a Nespresso capsule dispenser, storing up to 12 capsules.
Nespresso Recycle to Win
Nespresso Club Members in Singapore stand a chance to win their own pair of Limited-Edition chopsticks when they recycle their used capsules through Nespresso’s “Recycle to Win” lucky draw. 400 pairs of chopsticks are up for grabs each months starting today till 31 March 2020 – for a total of 2,800 pairs.
To register their entry into the lucky draw, Club Members have two options:
- They may recycle their used capsules at any Nespresso recycling point, such as Nespresso boutiques and Nespresso pop-up at Tampines Mall (open until January 2020). When dropping-off their capsules, Club Members need to inform a member of staff to ensure the recycling action is recorded. Find the full list of recycling points here.
- Club Members may also recycle their used capsules through the Nespresso Recycle@Home initiative, where they may pass their recycling bag to the delivery person and be automatically registered into the lucky draw.
