SpongeBob PartyPants at Our Tampines Hub (27 and 28 Jul)

Bikini Bottom is coming to Singapore – at Our Tampines Hub to be precise.

To celebrate SpongeBob SquarePants’ 20th anniversary, Nickelodeon partnered with Singtel to host the first ever Nickelodeon SpongeBob PartyPants event at Our Tampines Hub from 27 to 28 July. Admission is free. Singtel customers get a headstart on the party happenings with a first-day exclusive on 27 July, with on-site verification.

We went down to check out the fun and activities on the first day and here’s the video highlight:

The event features over 10 party game stations and activities which visitors can play for free to collect stamps on Nickelodeon game cards. Dance off at Conch Street with SpongeBob, Patrick and Squidward, and join in the first-ever Bubble Party! You can also fulfil your spongey dreams of competing in a jellyfishing race, get into the goofiest ice-cream fight, or hop around Goo Lagoon. Complete ten or more stamps to collect exclusive SpongeBob collectibles and goodie bags.

The stations are all very kids-friendly and easy to complete. An advice would be to go early to avoid the long queues. We reached at about 10am and were able to breeze through almost all the game stations and activities quickly. There are some stations which would require you to sign up for memberships and services. These are optional and you can skip them if you don’t want to.

There’s another added perk for going early – there is a chance for you to be among the first 300 guests each day to unlock a mystery gift by playing the ‘SpongeBob SquarePants: SpongeBob Run’ game on the free Nickelodeon Play app. Simply obtain at least one golden pickle within the game, take a screenshot and show it at the Mystery Gift counter to redeem your gift! This offer is limited to one gift per person per device. While stocks last.

For those who love to take photos ,there are lots of iconic Bikini Bottom and SpongeBob-themed landmarks like SpongeBob’s Pineapple House, Plankton’s Chum Bucket, Sandy’s Treedome and a Snail Park for you to get a shot with your favourite SpongeBob characters.

To liven up the event further, there are stage performances and mascot appearances; so watch out for these if you want to meet SpongeBob, Patrick or Squidward.

For the true SpongeBob fans, come dressed in yellow or as your favourite SpongeBob character and best PartyPants outfits will win some amazing prizes – this boy is one such example:

There is also a SpongeBob movie screening on Sunday, 28 July, at 7.30pm.

We particularly like that the whole event is held in a sheltered venue, shielding visitors from the crazy heat. There is also ample parking at the venue, priced at a reasonable rate.

Today is the last day of the Nickelodeon SpongeBob PartyPants event. Head on down if you are SpongeBob fan or simply just to soak in the fun! Bikini Bottom and the SpongeBob gang welcomes you together with Nickelodeon and Singtel!
