Two Teochew Dining Concepts arrive in Far East Square precinct: Zui Yu Xuan Teochew Cuisine & Chao Ting

JUMBO Group of Restaurants is proud to present two brand new dining concepts; Zui Yu Xuan Teochew Cuisine and Chao Ting, within the historic Far East Square precinct.

Together with the existing Chui Huay Lim Teochew Cuisine located within the 174-year-old Chui Huay Lim Club on Keng Lee Road, Far East Square, the three concepts form Zui Teochew Cuisine – a tribute to the timeless culinary heritage of one of Singapore’s founding Chinese dialect groups. They celebrate the authentic Teochew cuisine through the crafting of dishes and executed using the purest methods of preparations – the tenets of Teochew culinary philosophy.

Nestled in a two-storey heritage building gazetted as one of Singapore’s historic sites by the National Heritage Board, Zui Yu Xuan Teochew Cuisine is a jewel in the cultural district which it calls home. Greeting guests at Zui Yu Xuan is a traditional Chinese entranceway adorned with wood carvings and a tiled roof. Beyond it is a historic courtyard that was once part of the Chui Eng Free School founded in 1854.

This leads to the restaurant’s refurbished dining space dressed in tones of beige and maroon. On the second floor, six private rooms—four of which can be combined—make perfect spaces for important business meetings or for those seeking discreet options. The private rooms can seat six to 25 guests (depending on room type) and are fully equipped with KTV suite facilities.

Traditionalists will be familiar with this rustic comfort food that warms tummies and hearts of young and old alike.
