Revel the rich heritage of the Chinatown Street Market at the inaugural Five-footway Festival which harks back to the precinct’s beginnings and recreates the hawking scenes of yesteryears.
Organised by the Chinatown Business Association, this event marks the official launch of the restored Chinatown Street Market and takes visitors on a walk down memory lane by participating in traditional games and cultural activities, sample street food, and browse an assortment of old-school merchandise.

Fee: Free admission, walk-in event
Visitors can indulge in popular local street food such as satay, ice-cold chendol, roasted chestnuts and a hearty bowl of rickshaw noodles, or take part in cultural activities like Chinese opera and calligraphy writing.
Those in need of a hair trim can even visit the streetside barber. For those looking to bring home souvenirs, collectibles such as waxed paper umbrellas and straw fans, which were common household items in the past, will be on sale.
Foodie trails and guided tours will also be available to take visitors along a journey filled with snacks from the past or that provide deeper insights into historical Chinatown.
