Prosperity activities and cool prizes at Jurong Point this Lunar New Year

Usher in the Lunar New Year with fun activities and awesome prizes at Jurong Point! From now till 19 February 2019, Jurong Point will feature majestic decorations to showcase the grandeur of the royal Chinese palace. Shoppers can expect auspicious activities such as the lion dance performance, meet and greet with the God of Fortune mascot, as well as a chance to shake the Fortune Prosperity tree.

Culinary enthusiasts can also learn tips and tricks from Singapore’s top celebrity food artist, Little Miss Bento on Yu Sheng platter-making. Moreover, shoppers can redeem festive gifts and participate in the Prosperity Lucky Draw!

List of Activities

1. Shake a Fortune Prosperity Tree (21 January – 2 Feb 2019, 12 PM – 8 PM at JP1 Centre Stage)

Here’s a chance to shake off attractive prizes from the prosperity tree. To participate, simply spend $48 ($72 NTUC FairPrice, FairPrice Xtra and/or its subtenants), maximum 2 combined same-day receipts. Limited to 1 chance per shopper per day.

2. God of Fortune Mascots Meet & Greet (26 – 27 January, 2 – 3 February, 1 PM & 5 PM at JP1 & JP2 Level 1)

The God of Fortune ‘Cai Shen Ye’ mascot will be making his rounds at Jurong Point on the weekends, so be sure to say hello and remember to catch plenty of ‘gold coins’ and collect an auspicious set of number for an abundant year ahead.

3. Yu Sheng Platter-making Workshop (3 February 2019, 2 PM at JP1 Centre Stage)

Conducted by Singapore’s top celebrity food artist, Shirley Wong (a.k.a Little Miss Bento), who is known for her creative food styling works, participants will learn to create the Yu Sheng design in the shape of a Pig, the Zodiac sign for this new year. Registration is open to the first 20 sign-ups. To register, shoppers will have to:

  • Spend a minimum of $48 ($72 at NTUC FairPrice/FairPrice Xtra and/or its subtenants) in 2 combined same-day receipts and top up $68 in cash, or
  • Redeem 20,000 M points and top up $48 in cash.

4. Lion Dance Performance (13 February 2019, 11.30am at JP2 Main Entrance)

Don’t miss out on the magnificent traditional lion dance show with your family and friends as the lions perform jaw-dropping stunts to the lively festive drums, warding off evil and invite good luck and fortune at the same time.
