As the Formula 1 season beckons, you bet night revellers are making extravagant plans, especially with The Podium Lounge happening 14-16 Sep.
Well, grab your party squad and be sure to titillate your senses with its 10th anniversary and biggest edition just yet.
The Podium Lounge returns with its 10th anniversary and its biggest edition
As one of the most glamourous celebrity after-parties over the 2018 FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX weekend, The Podium Lounge promises a sensational soiree just as iconic as the night race.
Watch your nights transform into a high-octane celebration of glitz and glamour as a star-studded line-up of Joel Madden, Taboo, Boyzlife’s Brian McFadden and Keith Duffy put up world-class performances.
Leading vocalists from the hugely successful boy bands Boyzone (who recently announced their split after 25 years) and Westlife are coming together for an exceptional concert on the Opening Night (Friday, September 14th) as Boyzlife.
Fans of the supergroup will be catching the first-ever Boyzlife performance in Singapore, with Keith Duffy (previously from Boyzone) and Brian McFadden (from Westlife) crooning mega-hits such as ‘No Matter What’, ‘You Raise Me Up’ and ‘Love Me For No Reason’.
An after-party just isn’t one without raving dance music.
The brilliant celebrity DJ, record producer and actor, Joel Madden will headline the second night (Saturday, September 15th) of The Podium Lounge; while promising a night of wild beats and drops for revellers.
As the co-founder and frontman of the multi-platinum rock band Good Charlotte, he has much accolades to his name such as being a coach on The Voice Australia for five seasons and running his very own management company, MDDN.
Remember the wildly popular group, The Black Eyed Peas that brought us countless melodic pop hits such as ‘Where Is The Love?’, ‘I Gotta Feeling’ and ‘Boom Boom Pow’?
The entire group may not be returning but fans will rejoice as worldwide musical sensation Taboo, who is a critically-acclaimed DJ and singer will be bringing the track-side action on Race Night (Sunday, September 16th) to new heights.
Expect a boatload of smooth beats dripping in finesse as he drops a slew of urban beats and club mixes, to which the boisterous crowd on the dance floor will be lapping up in no time.
Besides, FOX Sports Asia’s F1 Pundit, Alex Yoong and E! News Asia host Yvette King will be bringing party-goers upon a pulsating ride as they host all three nights.
Nightly fashion circuit for the trend-setters
Besides being one of the go-to after parties for celebrities, ballin’ jet-setters and supermodels, The Podium Lounge comes replete with a splendid catwalk.
The savvy, hip-hop inspired streetwear line EGO by Strawn Teague Holmes will kickoff the runway action on the Opening Night, followed by the launch of COSMIC 108 designed by legendary guitar photographer Lisa Johnson; and worn by esteemed artists such as Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Keith Richards.
The sartorial showcase doesn’t end there.
It then culminates in the official reveal of the new collection by LA’s favourite luxury streetwear design label, MTHEMOVEMENT on the Race Night. Celebrity designer “M’s” highly-anticipated show will see Asia’s Next top Model Host Cindy Bishop and apl.d.ap of The Black Eyed Peas strutting their stuff.
Made for the jet-setters living on the high side of life, “M” is set to unveil the new Fall 2018 collection for MTHEMOVEMENT at The Podium Lounge; showcasing fashion staples for the style-conscious jet-setters like himself.
Push boundaries with Art Works
From the nightly fashion circuit to the boundary-pushing arts exhibit, The Podium Lounge comes replete with thrills even for the art-lovers.
In conjunction with Art Works, Singapore’s leading fine art investment gallery, an exhibition by British contemporary artist Lincoln Townley will shed light on his expressive figurative paintings. He hs been affectionately known by Michael Caine and the others as ‘the next Andy Warhol‘.
Inspired by the artist’s subconscious, the dark and often tormented imagery of Lincoln’s work seeks to evoke the chaos that is bubbling just below the surface of our lives. These masterpieces have been collected by the likes of world-renowed artists, Charlie Sheen, Al Pacino and Russell Brand.
It may be relatively unheard of but there is indeed a need for speed in arts, especially with the world-famous speed painter Armin Flossdorf of F1 Arts.
The arts prodigy first started his visual repertoire in Monaco, with his first-ever “Formula One – Fanatic Location” exhibition a decade ago. From then on, he specialised in Formula 1 Art using his eye-catching technique of combining acrylics and pencil on canvas.

Amongst his collectors, you will find some distinguished names such as former F1 Supremo Bernie Ecclestone and FIA President Jean Todt.
Adding to the dazzle of The Podium Lounge, a S$3.34 million 40-carat Fancy Intense Yellow Diamond takes centrestage in a dizzying showcase of diamonds. It is thus far, one of the finest and rarest pieces in the world.
As a coterie of like-minded arts and fashion aficionados get together, there is no better time for some charitable action.
This year will see a series of live auctions of some exceptionally rare F1 memorabilia with all proceeds going to a local charity.
Some examples include a Lewis Hamilton signed race glove showcasing the multiple Formula 1 World Champion, as well as a Niki Lauda signed and framed 8 x 12 inch photo.
The latter captured the highly sought-after signature of the 3-time Formula 1 World Champion who famously survived a fiery crash at Nürburgring in 1976 and returned to racing only six weeks later.
Whoever is looking for a rollicking F1 weekend of revved-up track-side action and pulsating energy simply can’t miss a ritzy party at The Podium Lounge.
