Hong Kong

Dim sum sprees and ice cold yin yang are clichés of Hong Kong we are happy to indulge in any day. But the thrills go beyond the culinary kind; holiday itineraries here would be left gaping if it did not contain Ocean Park, an amusement park and zoo hybrid housing hair-raising rides. With the Changi Recommends Ocean Park special, purchase the Super Value Buddy Combo and enjoy a Buy-3-Get-1-Free promotion on adult tickets.

Rollercoaster thrills in Hong Kong would also bring to mind Disneyland, situated in Lantau Island. But therein lies another kind of thrill: the Ngong Ping 360 cable car tour. If you are gutsy, hop on the Crystal Cabin and absorb aerial views of Mount Muk Yue peaks, as well as the 34-meter bronze-cast Tian Tan Buddha.

Changi Recommends is also running a fifth birthday promotion on the Ngong Ping Crystal Cabin tour; the fastest fingers to purchase tickets will enjoy a snack voucher together with a one-way Hong Kong Airport Express.

In Japan, visitors can expect to be romanced by awe-inspiring sights beyond cherry blossoms. One such landmark is World Heritage site Mount Fuji, where the ascent is undoubtedly tough –yet rewarding. But there are still ways to enjoy views of the legendary mountain range; there are Mount Fuji tours that would take you to the onsen town of Hakone, as well as the Owakudani Valley to experience the ropeway and volcanic fumes respectively. Depending on your choice of tour, it may come with an all-you-can-eat Yakiniku lunch.

Traveling between cities to take in the beauties does not have to be a troublesome and expensive affair. Before you jet off, there is a variety of railway passes you can purchase for cheaper commuting. Changi Recommends is having a promotion on the two-day Kansai Thru Pass at 50% OFF ($24.50), provided you purchase Universal Studios Japan tickets at S$93.

The Kansai Thru Pass –coming in two or three day options—gives access to subways, private railways and buses in the Kansai district. This includes Osaka , Kobe, and Kyoto. It allows tourists the flexibility of riding on separate, non-consecutive days and grants discount at selected major attractions within the region.

South Korea

A hot pick for K-Pop and drama enthusiasts, South Korea is firmly entrenched in the hearts of many Singaporeans.

On the entertainment front, there are two main theme parks to give you and your companions an adrenaline pumping time. Everland is Korea’s largest, most exciting amusement park you would want to check out. The T-Express, a highly raved about wooden rollercoaster, is dubbed a must-see and must-try. Everland also features a live hologram theatre for visitors to catch their favourite K-Pop idols live in action.

Receive an exclusive travel gift with ticket purchase to Everland when you make a purchase through Changi Recommends.

The other amusement attraction, Lotte World, would make a more viable option during winter. A number of rollercoaster rides and parades may be held indoors, but it certainly does not skimp on entertainment value. Also under Changi Recommends is a promotion in which you may score Lotte World tickets. Special promotion: When you purchase the Nami Railbike tour (filming site for ‘Winter Sonata’), a Lotte World entry is bundled in for just S$5.

Alternatively, you could also be among the fast fingers team to purchase the Demilitarised Zone (DMZ) tour, which includes a Lotte World entry for S$5.
