Have you always been curious about what goes behind developing technologies that push boundaries? Then, what we’re about to show you – never-before-seen footages of the newly-opened Dyson Technology Centre – is bound to pique your interest.
Just today, founder James Dyson opened the doors to the state-of-the-art facility here in Science Park I – signalling that Singapore is integral to its ambitious plans of developing more frontier-pushing technologies. Alongside the founder, S. Iswaran, Minister for Trade and Development has also given a speech to the audience. Also, it is for the first time we get to have several sneak peeks into this newly-minted technology centre. It’s never open to visitation from the public.
In his speech, James Dyson shared that the company has chosen Singapore particularly for the edge we have over other countries. Singapore is uniquely positioned with the skills and supply chain necessary for the production of a sophisticated motor like the V9 used in its products, such as the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer. As such, the company has spared no expense in building one of the slickest and forward-moving technology centre to date.
Following the tremendous success of this ground-breaking technology, Dyson seeks to replicate more of it with its newest technology centre here. Knowing that the future outlook of an innovation- and engineering-led economy like Singapore aligns with the company vision of Dyson, we have become the most befitting candidate as an investment destination for this trailblazing technology company.
Unrelenting and unyielding in its pursuit of ground-breaking technologies, we can all look forward to Dyson doing more of the unthinkable – like how the V9 motor is installed in the handle, instead of the head of the hair dryer.
