Do you know that the Esplanade now has a new play area for kids that is open to the public, with free admission?
Introducing Pip’s PLAYBox.
The area houses a small library and reading corner, featuring children’s books by Singapore writers. It also host activities such as arts and craft as well as storytelling.
Playful, Imaginative and Polite, that’s PIP, the mascot for the Esplanade’s kids’ outreach program.
This colourful bubbly character loves to play as much as any other child, but PIP believes in learning through play and playing to learn.
Rachel and I brought Asher for a meet-and-greet with Pip over a weekend, which was held together with a free storytelling session for kids, as part of the Huayi Festival.
Asher had a lot of fun participating in the interactive storytelling session:
After the show, he went on explore the play area, trying out all the different activities with the other kids there. In fact, he had so much fun we had difficulties trying to get him to leave the place!
You can sign up for a Pip’s PLAYBox membership for your child online for free to receive latest updates on their upcoming activities. Alternatively, you can also visit the official website or their Facebook page for updates.
Now, there is one more place to bring your child to over the weekend to immense in arts and culture! 🙂
