[Promo code inside!] 1-for-1 Halal certified restaurants with the Entertainer app

The Entertainer is not just for mainstream diners. I found five restaurants which are Halal, or get their food from Halal-certified suppliers.

1. Seasonal Salad Bar

Remember Ponderosa? This is a similar concept. Diners get an extensive salad bar buffet spread with their entrée. Carrying more than 60 items, the salad bar is a meal unto itself. There are fresh greens, ready-mix salads, daily soups, fruits and noodles. (When I was filling my plate I overheard someone say, “This place is better than Swensen’s!”) We tried the steak, the salmon and fish and chips, and the verdict is: Go for the chicken chops. And the salad bar. They even have soft-serve ice-cream for dessert.

If you like spicy Latin American food, check out J’s. I haven’t been there yet but this is what the description in the Entertainer app says: “J’s is where good food is served with joy… Their relaxed atmosphere belies the food, which would not be out of place in a fine-dining establishment. The generous portion sizes will satisfy even the heartiest of the appetites! They wish you the joy of good food and good times with good friends. So, whether you’re looking for vegetarian fare, a Halal environment or simply good Latin American food… dine at J’s!” Try their signature dishes, Chicken “Adobo” and the 120-day grain-fed sirloin of beef.

3. Wendy’s

Wendy’s is one of the Entertainer’s informal dining merchants. It’s a US fast food franchise which tries to up the notch with ingredients like sea salt, fresh milk, rich cream, cheddar cheese, whole fresh potatoes, hand-sliced lettuce and 100% Australian beef.
