The HSBC Women’s Champions is here again, teeing off on 27 February. The event will run till 2 March at the Sentosa Golf Club for the seventh year this year, featuring a whopping US$1.4 million in prize winnings.
Following Saturday’s competition, Australian golfer, Karrie Webb, who won the HSBC Women’s Champions in 2011, is out to win the event again. At eleven under par, she is one ahead of Angela Stanford, the 2012 champion, and three clear of a couple of up-and-coming players in Azahara Munoz and Teresa Lu.

I was at Sentosa Golf Club yesterday to experience the event myself. The weather was sweltering hot, but lots of golf enthusiasts of all ages braved the heat and were seen enjoying themselves, having a good time at the event.
For selected, premier HSBC customers, they have a special HSBC Hexagon Suite boxed area with a bird’s eye view of the competition grounds.
