Lime restaurant and bar at PARKROYAL on Pickering recently launched their Sunday Brunch in June. I ate there with my wife and son a few weeks back.
The brunch features a vast international buffet selection and the option of free flow Piper Heidsieck Champagne.
We found ourselves spoilt for choice!
The food was good and so was the service. I find the pricing value-for-money, considering the wide buffet selection and the restaurant’s location in a high end hotel.
PARKROYAL on Pickering is Singapore’s first hotel-in-a-garden and was named as Hotel of the Year 2013 by World Architecture News (WAN) in the prestigious annual WAN Awards.
I like the floor-to-ceiling glass windows at Lime which amplify light and space, giving you a feel of enjoying your food al fresco when you are actually indoor in air-con comfort.
Situated on street level, Lime can be accessed directly from Pickering Street, and via the PARKROYAL on Pickering lobby.
Here are three reasons why you should try Lime’s Sunday Brunch:
1. Free flow of lobsters, oysters, tiger prawns and other seafood delicacies:
2. Free flow of foie gras:
3. Free flow of macaroons:
Just these three items are sufficient to keep me satisfied.
Available every Sunday from 12pm to 3pm, the indulgent brunch features an impressive line-up of culinary delights including Mushroom Risotto, Herb-Crusted Cod Fillet, Foie Gras Terrine and an array of twelve European Cheeses.
Lime’s carving station offer a wide selection of roasted meats including US Prime Rib and Rack of Lamb.
Fresh seafood and sashimi are also available on ice.
The vast dessert selection features delicious cakes such as Key Lime Pie, Opera Cake and Tiramisu, as well as fresh fruit, a green tea chocolate fountain and an array of ice-creams and sorbets.
The brunch was a pleasant setting for Rachel and I to enjoy a lazy Sunday afternoon with Asher. With sumptuously soft sofa seating to sink into, overlooking a beautiful tree-lined walkway, you may find yourself glued to the seat at Lime for much longer than you anticipated. That was what happened to Rachel and I.
We arrived at 12 noon and found ourselves sitting there, enjoying our meal leisurely till 3pm when the buffet ended. Asher fell asleep in his stroller by then while Rachel and I sipped cappuccinos and flipped through the Sunday newspapers from the bar.
Lime comes highly recommended if you are looking for a place to have an intimate brunch outing with a group of friends or a celebratory feast for the entire family.
