Sydney with Scoot: Wild Life Sydney and Madame Tussauds Sydney at Darling Harbour

On the second day of my trip to Sydney with Scoot, I headed to Wild Life Sydney and Madame Tussauds Sydney at Darling Harbour to mingle with animals and celebrities in the afternoon.

Entrance to Wild Life Sydney
Darling Harbour

This is my second time visiting Wild Life Sydney. My first visit was with my wife Rachel during our honeymoon. The attraction is not really big like a full-fledged zoo, but is good enough for those who just wants a quick glimpse of the main few animals Australia is famous for like the koala bears, kangaroos and wombats.

Sleepy kangaroo
Testicles flashing
A wallaby
A wombat milling around
Two koala bears
Tranquil sleeping koala
So at peace…
Grabbing eucalyptus leaves for lunch
Close-up of the a koala’s face
A Southern Cassowary bird which reminds me of the bird called Kevin in the animated feature film, UP
Two emus

Other than animals, the attraction also features an array of snakes, reptiles and insects that are common in different regions of Australia. Here are some pictures I took during the tour:

A large python
Long winding snake
Snake head
Bird with a grub
Frogs enclosure
Underside of a tree frog
A frog keeping really still
Underground ants’ nest

I have been to Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong, Bangkok and Hollywood. This is my first visit to the one in Sydney. The obvious difference for each city is that they will feature more local celebrities in the located city. Hence I expected to see more Australian stars like Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman in the Sydney one.

There are many apparently pretty many stars who hail from Australia. More than enough to fill an entire Madame Tussauds gallery. Here are some photos I took during the  tour:
