Via EMDW, here are some screen grabs of blogger/model, Celestina Tiew and her friends bitching about another blogger/model Peggy Heng:
The blog war started because of this blog post by Peggy, titled “Celestina Tiew Drug Rumour Scandal” (the blog post has been deleted, but is still available via Google cache for now).
Here’s a quick summary of what happened:
Celestina was embroiled in an alleged drug scandal together with two male friends when their car was pulled over by the police. This made the headline news in Lianhe Wanbao and The New Paper. Peggy blogged about the incident and expose Celestina’s identity (her face was covered with mosaic in the Wanbao report). Celestina and friends are accusing Peggy of blogging about the incident to gain blog traffic. End of story (for now).
I do not know both Celestina and Peggy well, but might have met them both briefly at various bloggers or media events. I am not sure if the two of them knew each other well.
If they are friends, I hope this is not a publicity stunt.
Female bloggers quarreling with each other seems the surefire and quickest way to get famous in the local blogosphere. The pioneers of female blog wars in Singapore is probably Xiaxue vs Dawn Yang. There were many others that followed.
The higher the web stats, the more sponsors and advertisers.
Personally, I think it is an unhealthy trend and I cannot understand why sponsors and advertisers endorse such antics, but to each his/her own. I am no angel myself, writing on web scandals and gossips here and there.
I am just glad male bloggers do not wage such blog wars.
Peace.

Thanks for sharing! I totally missed the blog war since I don't read Peggy's blog. XD Agree with you that "Female bloggers quarreling with each other seems the surefire and quickest way to get famous in the local blogosphere". I should go put out an ad for someone to wage a blog war with me now lah. LOL!
I think this is genuine and I wouldn't say its a bloh war. Its a quarrel between two girls. its media both online and print who blow it out of proportion. I don't think both of them (maybe jusy one of them) is looking to get publicity this way.
Aiyo.. Read my post lah.. I already screw tt piggy h. Yesterday because she damn busy body.
