Rachel and I brought our son with us for dinner at La Villa a few weeks back, making use of Standard Chartered Bank’s “The Good Life” promotion (20% off total bill, valid till 31 Dec 2012) with the restaurant.

La Villa restaurant interior

Housed at the old River Valley Primary School, La Villa is a great place for a cosy meal with friends and family to get away from the hustle and bustle that is Singapore.

Nice ambience

The restaurant is child-friendly and a baby seat was provided for Asher. We love the quiet ambience at La Villa. We ordered one pizza to share while I had a steak main and Rachel had pasta.

Pizzas are their signature, hence the traditional open stove

Asher loved the bread served at the restaurant and gobbled up two whole pieces together with some puree we brought from home.

We rounded up the meal with a Passionfruit Tea Pannacotta which was simply gorgeous.

Dinner time!
Basket of lovely fresh bread
Funghi pizza: Tomato, Mozzarella, Mushrooms, Pancetta Ham, Egg, Truffle paste
Feeding Asher his puree with bread
Entrecôte: Grilled grain-fed Beef Rib-eye 280gm with ‘La Villa Butter sauce’ Fries and Market Vegetables
Capellini: Angel hair Pasta with Lobster Ragout ‘Sardinia’ style
Passionfruit Tea Pannacotta
Rachel love the pannacotta so much she is beyond words
Satisfied customers

Rachel and I are likely to visit La Villa again as satisfied, repeat customers.

The place is not very accessible by public transport, but great for car owners as there are lots of parking lots. Do call in and make reservation early if you are going on weekends as they can get rather packed.

There is free parking available for restaurant patrons. They will deduct S$2.50 from your restaurant bill for the parking.

More information on La Villa is available via their official website.
