Collectables auction house Stanley Gibbons will hold its first Asia based Trading Card Game (TCG) auction in Singapore on 30 October 2026, bringing rare Pokémon cards, vintage sealed products and a limited-edition Magic: The Gathering collectible to collectors worldwide.
Titled Pokémon of Lion City, the auction will take place live and online at 6pm Singapore time. The event marks a new phase in Stanley Gibbons’ trading card operations in the Asia Pacific region following the opening of its new Singapore office.

The auction comes after a series of high value sales by the company, including a PSA 9 Pikachu Illustrator card that sold for £832,000, equivalent to approximately S$1.4 million at the time. Other notable results included a Japanese PSA 10 Charizard Gold Star card sold for £135,000, or about S$230,195, a PSA 10 Gengar Prime card that fetched £71,000, or approximately S$121,000, and a sealed EX Delta Species booster box that sold for £147,600, equivalent to around S$252,000.
The Singapore auction will feature a selection of rare trophy cards, promotional items and sealed products, with bidding open to both local and international collectors.
Among the highlights is the highly sought after Victory Orb Mew Summer Battle Road Trophy Card. The sale will also include a pair of PSA 10 Shiny Pokémon Present Campaign promotional cards featuring Ho Oh 065/L-P and Lugia 066/L-P, which have sequential certification numbers.
Other notable Pokémon cards include a PSA 9 Latias and Latios GX #170 from the Team Up expansion and a CGC 6.5 Mudkip Gold Star #107 from EX Team Rocket Returns, featuring a distinctive swirl.
Collectors seeking vintage products can bid on a Gym Heroes expansion booster box from 2000, alongside Japanese Special Boxes featuring the Pikachu Poncho Mega Charizard Y and Magikarp and Gyarados Poncho designs.
The auction will also feature a Magic: The Gathering collectible inspired by The Hobbit. The lot is Smaug the Magnificent, Headliner Gleaming Gold from 2026, with only 500 copies produced. According to Stanley Gibbons, the item was taken directly from its pack and placed into a protective sleeve.
Roy Raftery, Head of Pop Culture at Stanley Gibbons, said the inaugural Singapore trading card auction would showcase premium collectibles offered by the company. He added that expanding dedicated auctions into Asia was a natural step, given that the region is the birthplace of the Pokémon franchise.
The Pokémon of Lion City auction forms part of Stanley Gibbons’ first series of live auctions in Singapore since opening its new office. It follows The Orchard Road Collection of Malaya Revenues philately auction on 29 October 2026.
