Anya Hindmarch is bringing its Mini Universal Bag to Singapore, with the compact reusable bag launching exclusively at FairPrice Finest stores nationwide from mid-August 2026.

The Mini Universal Bag is a smaller version of Anya Hindmarch’s original Universal Bag, designed to offer the same sustainability credentials in a more compact size. FairPrice Finest will introduce the Mini in an exclusive blue colourway featuring orange and white nastro handles, alongside a restock of the original larger size.
The Mini Universal Bag will retail for S$25, while the larger Universal Bag will be priced at S$30.
The Universal Bag project is a sustainability initiative led by Anya Hindmarch in partnership with major food retailers around the world and manufactured by the Solent Group. The bags are designed as reusable shopping bags that can be used for everyday shopping while addressing the environmental impact of single use plastic bags.
Since the project launched in 2021, the Universal Bag initiative has collectively saved more than 546 tonnes of plastic from landfill, equivalent to the weight of 46 double decker buses.
The project works with individual food retailers to create exclusive versions of the Universal Bag. Its global retail partners include Daylesford, Ocado, Waitrose, Aldi, Morrisons, Tesco, Asda, Co Op and Whole Foods in the UK; National Azabu, Seijo Ishii and Meidi Ya in Japan; FairPrice Finest and Little Farms in Singapore; Fusion, Taste and city’super in Hong Kong; Coles and Woolworths in Australia; and MarketPlace in the Philippines.
The Universal Bag is made from 100% recycled plastic, including its handles, with the materials and production process certified under the Global Recycled Standard. Each bag is designed to last for ten years and has undergone durability testing.
One of the bag’s features is a built-in freepost returns pocket. Users can turn the bag into its own pocket, which then functions as a pre addressed envelope. The bag can be posted through a letter box for local recycling.
Beyond durability and functionality, the project aims to make reusable shopping bags more desirable so that customers are encouraged to use and care for them over a longer period. Anya Hindmarch works with its retail partners to create designs that reflect each retailer while maintaining the Universal Bag’s sustainability and reuse principles.
Anya Hindmarch and Solent Group have also committed to sharing learnings from the project with participating global retailers upon request, with the aim of supporting greater progress in the use, reuse and recycling of shopping bags.
The Mini Universal Bag and the larger Universal Bag will be available from mid-August 2026 at FairPrice Finest stores nationwide in Singapore.
