Starting 18 September 2026, eligible Singaporean travellers who arrive through Fukuoka Airport and book at least one night at a participating hotel in Kagoshima Prefecture through Klook can receive a Shinkansen ticket valued at up to 11,420 yen, or around S$95.

The campaign runs until 28 February 2027, or while stocks last, whichever comes first. It is also available to travellers from the United States, Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Mainland China.

To qualify, travellers must transit through Fukuoka Airport and make a qualifying hotel booking in Kagoshima Prefecture through Klook for at least one night. The complimentary ticket covers the equivalent of a one-way Shinkansen fare from Hakata to Kagoshima, subject to the stated maximum value.

The partnership is designed to encourage international visitors to travel beyond Japan’s more established tourism destinations by making it easier to reach Kagoshima from Fukuoka. Klook and Kagoshima Prefecture also plan to build on the campaign through the development of Klook Pass Kagoshima, a bundled product featuring selected experiences and attractions across the prefecture.

According to Klook, Singaporean users have increasingly turned to bundled passes when travelling in Japan, with the format offering a way to access multiple experiences through a single purchase.

The Kagoshima campaign follows Klook’s previous collaboration in Hiroshima, where the platform worked with local authorities and merchants to combine Shinkansen access with local experiences through Klook Pass Hiroshima. Klook reported that sales of the pass increased more than twelvefold after its launch.

In 2026, Klook also brought 120 content creators from 20 markets to Hiroshima through its Kreatorverse Japan initiative. The company said the programme contributed to sustained growth in monthly booking traffic to the destination.

Klook reported that product revenue in Hiroshima grew 30% year on year in 2026, exceeding the platform’s overall growth in Japan. The company said it measures booking growth outside Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka against growth within Hiroshima to assess the impact of its destination marketing initiatives.

Interest in Kagoshima has also increased among Singaporean Klook users. According to the company, demand for Kagoshima experiences grew 214% year on year among Singapore users.

As part of the next phase of its Kagoshima partnership, Klook held an in-person seminar for local merchants to help businesses digitise their operations and join the Klook platform. The company is now working towards developing Klook Pass Kagoshima, modelled on its Hiroshima offering.
