DBS/POSB is rolling out the first phase of its SGD 10 million cost of living support measures with the launch of the new DBS Saturday Savings programme, giving customers weekly discounts on essential groceries.
From 18 July to 29 August 2026, DBS/POSB customers can enjoy SGD 3 off selected house brand eggs and SGD 3 off selected house brand rice every Saturday at Sheng Siong and Giant supermarkets across Singapore. Customers who purchase both items can enjoy total savings of up to SGD 6 when they pay using any DBS/POSB credit or debit card.
The initiative is part of the bank’s broader commitment announced in April to help Singaporeans better manage rising household expenses through practical savings on everyday essentials.
Following the promotion period, DBS/POSB will also bring back its popular PayLah! SGD 3 Saturday Cashback campaign from September. More details about the returning initiative will be announced closer to its launch.
This year’s DBS Saturday Savings programme expands on the strong response to last year’s SGD 0.60 rice and cooking oil promotion at Sheng Siong by making the grocery savings available to more households across Singapore.
For the first time, customers can redeem the offers at both Sheng Siong and Giant supermarkets, giving shoppers access to a total of 129 participating outlets islandwide.
The bank has also significantly increased the number of available redemptions. Around 90,000 redemptions will be available every week, more than tripling the quantity offered in previous campaigns and allowing more customers to benefit from the programme.
Eligibility has also been broadened. Unlike earlier grocery campaigns that were limited to POSB cardholders, the new promotion is open to all DBS/POSB credit and debit cardholders.
DBS Saturday Savings builds on the bank’s ongoing efforts to support customers through rising living costs. Since 2023, DBS/POSB has introduced several initiatives aimed at reducing everyday expenses, including its PayLah! SGD 3 Cashback campaign for hawker meals, which was later expanded to include heartland shops and wet markets. The programmes have helped customers save on daily purchases while encouraging spending at local merchants.
The grocery promotion applies only to selected house brand eggs and rice products. Redemptions are available on a first come, first served basis while stocks last, with each customer limited to one redemption per item per day.
