Razer Unveils Limited Edition Kitsune Ryu Controller for Street Fighter Fans and Competitive Players

Razer has introduced the Razer Kitsune Ryu Edition, a limited-edition version of its premium leverless fight stick inspired by one of gaming’s most iconic characters, Ryu from Street Fighter 6. Launching during EVO 2026 in Las Vegas, the new controller is designed for competitive fighting game players, collectors and fans looking to combine tournament level performance with a distinctive Street Fighter themed design.

The Razer Kitsune Ryu Edition features a fully dye sublimated aluminium top plate finished in a bold black and white design that reflects Ryu’s disciplined fighting style. Bright red accents complete the look, representing the legendary fighter’s spirit while giving the controller a premium appearance suited for both display and tournament play.

As a limited-edition release, the controller combines collectible appeal with the same high–performance hardware found in the original Razer Kitsune, Razer’s all button optical arcade controller built for PlayStation 5 and PC.

Replacing the traditional joystick with a four directional button layout, the Kitsune delivers cleaner and more precise directional inputs, helping players execute moves with greater accuracy while reducing the input errors often associated with conventional fight sticks. The design is intended to provide the responsiveness needed for advanced techniques, whether charging a Hadoken or landing a perfectly timed Shoryuken.

The controller is equipped with Razer’s low profile linear optical switches, offering a shorter actuation distance for faster and more responsive inputs during high level competition. It also supports Razer Chroma RGB lighting, allowing players to customise the controller with a variety of colours and built in lighting effects.

Designed with portability in mind, the slim profile makes it easy to transport between home setups, local tournaments and major competitive events. A detachable USB Type C cable simplifies storage, while a built-in cable security clasp helps prevent accidental disconnections during gameplay. The controller also includes a Tournament Lock Switch that disables non-essential buttons to ensure uninterrupted competitive play.

According to Razer, the Kitsune Ryu Edition is aimed at players who want reliable performance while celebrating one of the most enduring characters in fighting game history. Whether used in tournaments or displayed as part of a gaming collection, it combines precision, portability and a design inspired by Ryu’s pursuit of mastery.

The Razer Kitsune Ryu Edition is priced at US$319.99 or €339.99. It is available for pre order now exclusively through the Razer website and RazerStores worldwide, with shipping beginning in July 2026. The controller will also be available through selected retailers in the third quarter of 2026.
