Crunchyroll has announced a major lineup of new anime titles set to stream on its platform, alongside exclusive first looks and trailers revealed during Anime Expo. The slate forms part of the platform’s extensive Anime Expo programming, which includes appearances by acclaimed creators, popular voice actors, major announcements, and previews of upcoming series for anime fans around the world.

Among the newly announced titles is Goodbye, Lara, a modern reimagining of a classic mermaid tale. The story follows Lara, a mermaid princess who sacrificed everything for love after falling for a human prince. After failing to find true love and disappearing into the sea, she awakens 200 years later in Japan’s Lake Biwa and resumes her search. The series will stream worldwide, excluding Mainland China and Japan.

Fantasy adventure series I Became a Legend after My 10 Year-Long Last Stand introduces Luck, an S-rank mage who defeats the Demon King at the cost of losing a decade of his life. Returning to a world that believes he died a hero, he adopts a new identity as an F-rank adventurer while trying to rebuild his future. The title will be available worldwide excluding Japan, South Korea, and Mainland China.

Based on the popular Korean web novel and webtoon, Overgeared follows Shin Youngwoo, better known as Grid, a struggling gamer whose fortunes change after obtaining a legendary class in the virtual reality game Satisfy. Armed with powerful blacksmithing skills and rare equipment, Grid embarks on a journey toward fame while discovering the challenges that come with becoming a legend. The series will stream worldwide excluding Japan and Korea.

Fans of fantasy comedy can look forward to Sasaki and Peeps Season 2, which continues the adventures of an ordinary office worker and his magical bird companion. What begins as a simple pet purchase evolves into a cross-world adventure filled with magic, swords, and unexpected challenges. Rounding out the announcements is The Villager of Level 999, set in a world where monsters have transformed Japan into a dangerous land. Despite being assigned the weakest class, Villager, protagonist Kouji Kagami reaches the unprecedented level of 999. His encounter with the Demon King’s daughter sets events in motion that could change the world forever. The series will stream worldwide excluding Asia, while remaining available in the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia.
