Razer teams up with IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios to elevate immersion in 007 First Light with next level haptics and RGB tech

Razer has announced a strategic partnership with IO Interactive, the award-winning developer behind the HITMAN franchise, and Amazon MGM Studios to enhance immersion in the upcoming game 007 First Light. The collaboration aims to bring players deeper into the world of James Bond through advanced hardware integration using Razer’s Sensa HD Haptics and Chroma RGB technology.

007 First Light is a story driven action adventure that presents a standalone origin story of James Bond. Players take on the role of a 26 year old Bond, a rebellious Royal Navy air crewman who is recruited into MI6 and tasked with earning his place in the newly reinstated 00 section. The game focuses on situational awareness, decision making, and high pressure encounters as players navigate Bond’s early journey.

Through the partnership, Razer’s technology is designed to extend gameplay beyond the screen. On PC, Razer Sensa HD Haptics delivers more than 80 curated tactile effects tailored to stealth, combat, and chase sequences. Actions such as firing weapons, executing stealth takedowns, or navigating high speed pursuits are translated into physical feedback that reflects intensity and timing.

Razer Chroma RGB also plays a key role in the experience, offering more than 80 reactive lighting effects that respond dynamically to mission states, environmental changes, and in game alerts. These effects are designed to sync with gameplay across Chroma enabled devices, creating a more responsive atmosphere during play.

The integration spans multiple Razer peripherals including the Kraken V4 Pro headset, Wolverine V3 Pro controller, Freyja HD haptic gaming cushion, Basilisk V3 Pro 35K mouse, Cobra HyperSpeed mouse, Firefly V2 Pro mouse mat, BlackWidow V4 Pro 75% keyboard, Kraken V4 headset, and the Razer Blade 16 (2026). Each device contributes to reinforcing in game tension and environmental shifts without distracting from core gameplay.

For mobile play, Razer PC Remote Play allows players to stream 007 First Light to compatible devices, while the Razer Kishi V3 Pro XL provides console style controls for gaming on the go, ensuring continuity of experience beyond the main setup.

Razer says the collaboration reflects its developer first approach to immersive gaming, where hardware features are directly mapped to gameplay cues. Rather than focusing on visual spectacle alone, the system is designed to support stealth, escalation, and impact in a way that aligns with game design.

007 First Light will be part of Razer’s wider immersive ecosystem, which now supports more than 100 games across different genres using curated haptic and lighting effects to enhance gameplay atmosphere.

007 First Light is scheduled for release on 27 May 2026. Pre orders are now open, with a free deluxe edition upgrade that includes 24 hour early access available for digital editions.
