Dyson Supersonic Travel Hair Dryer: Smaller, Lighter and Built for Life on the Go

Dyson has officially introduced the Supersonic Travel hair dryer, a compact new styling tool designed for travellers who want salon-quality performance without sacrificing luggage space.

Engineered for portability and convenience, the new device is 32% smaller and 25% lighter than the full-sized Dyson Supersonic hair dryer, while still delivering the fast drying power and hair protection technologies the brand is known for.

Launching in Singapore on 21 April 2026, the Dyson Supersonic Travel will retail for SGD 399.

Designed for Modern Travellers

Whether it’s a weekend getaway, a business trip, gym session, or extended holiday, the Supersonic Travel is made to fit seamlessly into modern lifestyles.

Weighing less than a can of soda, the compact dryer is designed to slip easily into handbags, carry-ons, and cabin luggage. It also features global voltage compatibility, automatically adapting to the voltage standards of different countries while maintaining full performance.

This means users can enjoy Dyson-level styling anywhere in the world without needing bulky converters or sacrificing drying power.

Fast Drying Without Heat Damage

Excessive heat remains one of the leading causes of hair damage, and conventional travel dryers often rely on uncontrolled temperatures that can weaken hair over time.

Dyson addresses this with its signature intelligent heat control technology, which measures airflow temperature 100 times per second to prevent extreme heat exposure.

The airflow is precisely engineered to dry hair quickly and evenly, helping users achieve smoother, shinier, and healthier-looking hair wherever they are.

Compatible with Existing Dyson Attachments

A major advantage of the Supersonic Travel is its compatibility with attachments from existing Dyson Supersonic and Dyson Supersonic Nural hair dryers.

This allows Dyson users to bring along their favourite styling tools while travelling, offering more flexibility without needing to buy duplicate accessories.

The travel model launches with the Smoothing nozzle attachment included.

Additional attachments sold separately include:

  • Diffuser
  • Wide tooth comb
  • Styling concentrator
  • Flyaway smoother
  • Gentle air attachment

These accessories allow users to customise the dryer based on hair type and styling needs.

Dyson’s Hair Science Approach

Dyson says the new launch is part of its decade-long investment in hair science, airflow engineering, and heat control technology.

Research shows excessive heat can weaken keratin, leading to breakage, while changes in climate and humidity during travel can affect both hair and scalp health.

By maintaining controlled temperatures, Dyson’s technology aims to reduce dryness, irritation, and damage while preserving natural shine.

Pairing with Dyson Omega Leave-In Spray

For travellers looking for a complete hair care solution, Dyson recommends pairing the dryer with the Dyson Omega leave-in conditioning spray mini.

Powered by the Dyson Oli7 blend, the formula contains seven omega-rich oils, including sunflower oil grown on Dyson farms, to nourish hair, reduce frizz, and protect against humidity.

Try It In-Store and at Pop-Up Events

Consumers in Singapore will be able to test the Dyson Supersonic Travel at Dyson Demo Stores and selected retail partners.

Dyson also plans to host immersive city pop-up experiences featuring styling zones and expert demonstrations tailored for global travellers.

Singapore Availability

The Dyson Supersonic Travel hair dryer is now available in Singapore at a retail price of SGD 399.
