2XU Compression Run 2026 Draws Over 20,000 Runners with Enhanced Race Experience

The 2XU Compression Run 2026 wrapped up successfully on 5 April, attracting more than 20,000 participants to the streets of Singapore. Held under the theme “Human Performance. Multiplied.”, this year’s edition focused heavily on improving logistics, safety, and overall runner experience.

Organised by Pink Apple, the race underwent a strategic operational review ahead of 2026, resulting in a series of upgrades designed to create a smoother and more efficient event for both competitive athletes and casual runners.

Smoother Pre-Race Experience

Enhancements were evident even before race day, particularly during the Race Entry Pack Collection (REPC). The process was redesigned to improve crowd flow and reduce waiting times, with many participants reporting a seamless, queue-free experience.

This allowed runners more time to explore sponsor booths and engage with event partners, setting a positive tone ahead of the race.

Improved Route Management and Hydration Support

On race day, organisers prioritised route accuracy and safety, ensuring participants ran precise distances with clear course guidance throughout.

Given Singapore’s humid climate, hydration and welfare provisions were significantly expanded. Additional hydration stations were placed strategically along the route, stocked with drinks from Pocari Sweat and JÄÄDE Water. Runners in the 21.1KM category also benefited from dedicated banana refuel stations to maintain energy levels.

To further support participants, a new cooling protocol was introduced. Cooling towels were distributed at key points along the route and within the Athlete Welfare Area, helping runners manage heat and recover more effectively post-race.

Positive Feedback from the Running Community

The improvements were met with strong positive feedback across the local running community. Participants highlighted the efficient crowd control, well-organised logistics, and reliable on-course support as standout features of this year’s event.

The Race Village also saw upgrades, including designated photo spots where runners could capture their finish-line moments against themed backdrops.
