EssilorLuxottica and Meta Platforms, Inc. have announced the upcoming launch of their AI-powered smart glasses in Singapore, marking a major expansion of their global partnership into Southeast Asia. The highly anticipated Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta collections will officially be available from 20 April 2026.
The rollout follows strong global demand, with Ray-Ban Meta emerging as the world’s top-selling AI glasses and gaining traction as both a tech innovation and cultural statement. Adding to its appeal, Jennie of BLACKPINK has recently been named global ambassador for the Ray-Ban brand and its Meta-powered eyewear line.
Ray-Ban Meta: Style Meets Smart Technology
The latest Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 will debut in three signature styles, Wayfarer, Skyler, and Headliner, blending classic design with advanced features. The smart glasses offer up to eight hours of battery life, alongside an upgraded 12MP ultra-wide camera capable of capturing 3K ultra-HD photos and videos.
Users can also expect improved audio performance through built-in open-ear speakers, as well as a range of lens options including sun, clear, polarized, and Transitions Gen S lenses for seamless day-to-night use.
In May, the lineup will expand to include optical-first designs such as the Ray-Ban Meta Blayzer Optics and Scriber Optics (Gen 2), tailored for prescription wearers. These models feature slimmer, more customisable frames, adjustable components for enhanced comfort, and a dedicated action button that activates Meta AI for hands-free control and content capture.
Oakley Meta: Built for Performance and Action
The launch also introduces Oakley Meta HSTN and Oakley Meta Vanguard, designed for athletes and active lifestyles. Combining Oakley’s performance-driven design with Meta’s AI technology, these glasses are engineered for movement, endurance, and real-time engagement.
The Oakley Meta HSTN features a built-in 3K ultra-HD camera, integrated open-ear speakers, and IPX4 water resistance, making it suitable for high-energy activities. Select models also include Oakley’s PRIZM lens technology, which enhances contrast and visibility across varying light conditions.
Meanwhile, the Oakley Meta Vanguard is designed for more intense outdoor training, equipped with a 12MP ultra-wide camera, high-decibel audio, and advanced wind noise reduction. Built for durability, it offers IP67 water and dust resistance and is compatible with helmets and hats, catering to cyclists and runners alike.
