Where Heritage Meets Play: LEGO Launches First-Ever Shophouse Experience at Design Orchard

The LEGO Group is inviting fans of all ages to step into a world where heritage, imagination, and play converge with the launch of the first-ever LEGO Shophouse Experience, running from 13 March to 5 April 2026 at Design Orchard, open daily from 11 am to 9 pm.

This immersive pop-up celebrates Singapore’s iconic shophouse culture, transforming familiar spaces into interactive LEGO worlds. Shophouses, long treasured as hubs of community and culture, are reimagined here through vibrant LEGO creations that capture the warmth, colour, and nostalgia of Peranakan-inspired interiors.

A Journey Through a LEGO Shophouse

Visitors are guided through a series of thoughtfully curated rooms that mirror the flow of a real Singaporean home. The foyer features Singapore’s first Peranakan-inspired LEGO brick tile wall, a striking centerpiece perfect for photo opportunities. From there, the journey unfolds into a dining space filled with heritage patterns, a cosy living room with LEGO botanical décor, and an adult room designed as a bold, futuristic retreat with dynamic lighting and curated displays.

Children are not left out, the kids’ room delights with pastel tones, twin lofts, study nooks, and playful LEGO builds that spark creativity. The pop-up also showcases fan-built creations, highlighting the originality and imagination of LEGO enthusiasts from the community.

Hands-On Creativity for All

Interactive activities bring the LEGO Shophouse to life. Visitors can create a Peranakan-inspired postcard by collecting stamp colours that gradually reveal a heritage graphic. Completing the postcard unlocks the opportunity to build a retro LEGO Boombox (Monday to Friday) or a LEGO Peranakan mosaic tile (Saturday and Sunday) at the pop-up’s creative zone, with limited daily quantities available.

Fans who sign up for LEGO Insiders, the brand’s free membership programme, can also redeem exclusive brick-based rewards, such as the Grey Castle Set, Retro Tape Player, or Baby Gorilla Encounter, while supplies last. Guests can even test their observation skills by guessing the number of bricks used in the Peranakan LEGO wall, with five lucky winners walking away with a LEGO set.

Take the LEGO Shophouse Home

A curated selection of LEGO sets will be available at the pop-up retail zone, perfect for continuing the fun at home. Visitors can also receive exclusive gifts with purchase, including ceramic mugs and silicone coasters. The sets are available not only onsite but also at LEGO Certified Stores (LCS), LEGO website, the LEGO Official Store on Lazada and Shopee, Amazon, and major retailers across Singapore.
